In Bansko, with the ski slopes being a gondola ride away, is the ski depot at the bottom, as in Borovets, or as you get off the gondola? So do you get chance to get kitted up, and have a little practice, just to find the old ski legs, before being sorted into groups?
The ski depot is at the bottom gondola station where you will need to get kitted up before getting onto the gondola which will take you to the start of the ski slopes (top gondola station). There is a button lift that people use that takes you to the top of a gentle slope where people usually use to practice on and where your ski instructor will take you for the first hour or so on your first day.
Ski depot is at the bottom. lockers are available at the gondola station.
You get geared up before hoping on the gondola and the groups all meet at the top of the gondola for lessons.
Gidday Hornster.
I'm not unfortuatly unless I can fit a week of spring skiing in April.
I'm of to Verbier in Jan and doing 3 days in Nevis Range in Feb just to give the UK scene a bit of a try.
Pity you not going out to Bansko this season as the conditions are looking awesome!
I have been meaning to give the UK ski scene a try. Perhaps one of these days.
