Thought I best check this... kids are 12 and 14, do they need helmets, if they do we need to dash out and get them next week. We are going to Pamporovo
hi ll.
the majority of children do not wear helmets, however this is your or the childrens choice. my son has gone to chourcevel for the winter season and I bought him a helmet and he's 25. (no jokes onmybumski)
so just becareful.
s.p.
ps if they don't wear their helmets they might end up like
On a sad note a 12 year old boy was killed this week in Italy after he collided with a chairlift. If I had a child there is no way that I would consider letting them ski/board without a helmet.
It is entirely your choice if they wear a helmet. I work in skiing as well as doing as much ski touring as possible and wear a helmet. Again that is choice and I would not expect anyone to criticise you either way.
One thought though is that there is not a huge amount of snow at the moment so the snow may be hard with the odd rock showing through - painful if you slid and hit with your head!
Who are you booked with? check the posts from a while back. One of the tour ops are offering free helmets for every child booked, but can't remember which one (yeah I know i'm rubbish) check through the brochure.
It's Thomson holidays, for each child ski pack booked you get a free childs helmet if you send £4.95 to cover postage and packing. We got one for our son and it's very good VFM.
We r going to Boro for the first time with 2 girls.
Just bought 2 new helmets from TK Max for £25 each.
Will then sell on EBay when we get back. (not going 08, so will have probebally grown out of them before we go again.) We will be back jan 20th if any good!
