Ski hire/lessons. Book before or in resort?

Hi

4 of us are going to Bansko for a week on 24th January.

Our group comprises of 2 intermediate skiers and 1 beginner boarder wanting lessons and 1 better skier not wanting any lessons.

We all need to hire equipments etc.

My question is, is it better to book equipment, lessons, lift passes in advance or when we arrive in resort? Does anyone have any recommendations of companies to use?

We are travelling independently so don't have a tour operator to buy from.

Any advice ...

re: Ski hire/lessons. Book before or in resort?

Can you not still book the bits and pieces through the tour operator?

I have turned up in resort before, found a UK rep and bought lift pass' before.

However, i know that it is more expensive on all of it if you get it in resort. You want to get as much as you can in the UK before you travel.
