Ski hire

Is the package that you can buy from Balkan Holidays good value or can you get better tuition/ski hire via other companies

Thanks

re: Ski hire

Hey,
I guess it is to early to answer this question because the prices of liftpasses have not been published yet. Where do you wnt to ski Borovets, Bansko, Pamporovo?

Cheers Roland

re: Ski hire

We are looking at Bansko and through Balkan Holidays they do a deal which has ski and boot hire, 4 hours tuition per day and lift pass (all for 6 days) for £150 which seems very good value but has made me think maybe its too good and the quality of the hire equipment is poor and the ski tuition overcrowded and non english speaking etc.... but I may be worrying for no reason

re: Ski hire

The deal is good but ski equipment can be a bit hit and miss but if you say if your not satisfied you can normally get it sorted. Dont use ski school now although some people think i still should but when I did I never had a bad experience though some people on here have.

re: Ski hire

Thanks for the info. I think it will be just me using the ski school but its cheaper to take the all in option so think we will go with that.

re: Ski hire

The ski equipment is brand new, they spent 250,000 Euro in renewing the whole stock, though i have to admit it is not all on the shelves... Twin-tips available as well if you want them, as well as cross-country skis and boots...
You cannot beat pre-booked Balkan packages, Ulen is the same company so easy to cross-subsidise.
