Ski in Vitosha

Good morning
We come to Vitosha in march, we search a small Hotel or quiet, nice chalet and especially not too dear to stay at 2 or 3 nights?
Other one information, how much needs it to go to Vitosha since the airport? Do taxis make itinerary?
Thank you in advance

re: Ski in Vitosha

Hi Freerider65 and welcome.

Very few people from the UK visit Vitosha as it is a fairly small and quiet resort.

I'll have a look and see what I can find.

Cool

There are hundreds of apartments at the base of the gondola in the 'Monastery' complex plus others but they are mostly empty. Stay in the city and get a taxi out to the gondola every day - it won't cost more than 10 euro each way. Or even use a city bus. A good hostel in the centre is called the Art Hostel, which may suit your needs. Go Google.

I skied here somtime in the mid 90s when balkan did a package. was a nice little hotel that you could ski but as many years have passed cant remember the name. I do remember the skiing being ok though little bit more exposed than the other resorts. Loads of people used to get the gondola up so that shouldnt be a problem. Either way you will enjoy it i know i did. Very Happy

I would agree. Find a nice hotel in the City center. and you should be able to get to the bottom of the gondola for less than €10. Enjoy some of the nice resteraunts and nightlife that goes with a capital city.

I have stayed at a very good hotel called jasmin ( I think). Is is near the gondola and there is a exelent restaurant next to it. I dont know about skiing, because I was there in the summer.

Try to googled it, they have a homepage.
