Ski instructors and aggresion

I had the misfortune of being on the recieving end of an instructors aggresion. I was skiing down from the top of the gondola. I was cut up and had to change direction that second. It resulted in me crashing with a learner. The ski instructor went wild. He was like a mad man. I said sorry within a second of it happening and the instructor was abusive and vile. He said he was going to punch me in the face and then say sorry because I clearly felt that it was fine to knock someone over ...

He said he was going to punch me in the face and then say sorry because I clearly felt that it was fine to knock someone over and then say sorry to make it right. It was just a very unforunate accident that I am sure most people have been in at some point I do not make a habit of crashing into people on purpose. It was my second trip to Borovets and I have got to be honest It really has put me off returning, until this happened I had nothing but good things to say. has anyone else experienced this.

re: Ski instructors and aggresion

i think the instructors get very protective of their group especially when they are begginers! its a shame he had to be so rude there was obviously no need for it! i was snowboading for the first time which meant a number of silly collisions and luckily nobody got angry with me! its a bit hard not to get in peoples way when there are so many people on the slopes! maybe he was having a bad day although there isnt really any excuse for being a nasty person!

try not to let it change your previous attitudes to borovets where ever you go theres going to be people like that and you just have to say pooey to them!

i didn't dare, belive me he was horrible. I just wish my husband had been there because I am sure he would of tw**ed him one. I am not big on violence but he really did deserve some of his own medicine.

Skiing is supposed to be fun even if you are a beginner, sounds like this instructor is no good at his job,you really should report him to the ski school and have him removed,he will only give the school a bad name and loose custom.

re: Ski instructors and aggresion

I knew of a weird ski instructor in Andorra. Not sure if was to get u to be more daring/confident etc..

He would allow u to fall 3 times on a slope if u fell more- then you had to stay at the botttom of the run whilst the rest of the group went back up again. In effect skipping a run as a sort of punishment.
