My youngest will be 3 and half next year, when we were out last time we noticed the kids bit at bottom of slopes with elevator thing in there, is that for a particular ski company to use or do they all use it? Would really like my youngest to have a go at lessons? Not sure who to book lessons with this year and if any do lessons for his age? Any suggestions please??
The 'Boro Kids Park' at the bottom is owned and run by Borosport so if you want your little one to use it, you have to book them into the Borosport Kindergarten. When your son went in last year was he with the ski or no-ski package? Ie: in kindergarten you can book for little ones to have an hour or so on the slopes each day as well as staying indoors...
No one really takes lessons for under 4's but there are options....
I thought they had to be 4, he didn't go on slopes at all last year (other than with us on sledge) so it must have been the non-ski one, didn't like the look of boro sports - they looked like there was a lot of people in groups with a lot of standing around. Hunters was great cause there was only me and partner together on first day (until he decided I was too slow and joined another small group!!) ( he also decided I was to slow!!!) so I had rest of lessons on my own so felt and felt I improved a lot, so wouldn't want to go again and join a big group and be dissapointed. May have to leave it another year then for youngest to have lessons.
my youngest started at 3 1/2 but since the demise of the Inghams snow star club I think the youngest they give lessons to is 4 although I think they prefer 5. At 4 my son was with Borosports in the Rila hotel and used the private area that you saw. It is a ski creche and spend most of the time indoors and ski only for a couple of hours a day.
Thanks for help, another year in kindergarten then and enjoying sledging with the rest of us later on in day. At least we have in laws with us for new year so if we lucky enough to get enough snow to ski then he can spend time with his grandparents
Can you email me please (click on my name ) as we have asked aroud in-resort and found some other options for your little one so that he gets some skiing in as well....
Can I piggyback onto this discussion? We have similar query to the original poster: we will be travelling with a 6 year old and our son aged 3 years and 11 months. We would like them to learn to ski in the same place - as they are happy only to let us go and ski if they are left together - any suggestions? Thank you for your help, Alex
