They do a good job too..and hot wax...my beautiful atomics where return to their as new condition...well just about. See if they'll knock something off the price;
Try not to use Peters opposite the Gondola station in Borovets. Great for storage but servicing standards have dropped. Hot iron on skis that haven't been allowed to warm up from a day out on the hill - smoke from wax indicating iron too hot - iron left on skis too long can lead to internal ski damage. (if it's not left on long enough, the cold skis stop even melt/absorption of wax into the ski base. Rapid uneven heating of the ski can lead to internal damage of any composte construction. ...

My beautiful 180cm atomic race skis are now totally decambered and no longer hold on ice. (Yes -edges are sharp) But are now excellent in the soft deep stuff be it powder or wet snow.
I'll try behind the gondola next time - with a pair of older skis.
I have been waxing my own snowboard for a good time and know something about it and I prefer not to use skiservice in Bansko anymore. Last year they had brand new top of the line machines next to the gondola station on the main street. I thought the price was cheap but the work was horrible. Last year they had brand new top of the line machines next to the gondola station on the main street. I thought the price was cheap but the work was horrible. I did the whole waxing, sharping the edges and repairing the holes what came from the stones on the piste. Edges came out less sharp and bad angled and they sanded my board way too much leaving it with layer of wax which lasted only half a day. I suggest to bring own waxes and old iron. With a cd-cover you can scrape the excess of and the result is A LOT better. Ofcourse if you know what you do. But if you are a rookie waxer I suggest to look on the bottom and if you can see it getting white near the edges its time to take it to service.
