Ski/Snowboard hire in Borovets

Hi there, I'm going to Bovorets in a couple of weeks and was wandering if it would be cheaper to book the skis/boards from our tour operator, or to get them out there? Same thing with the lift passes. I've been told it's cheaper to get them out there but don't know whether to take the risk incase they don't have any left in stok.
