Skidoo treks

Never tried a snowmobile but do desperately wannago. Does anyone know if you can do it in Borovets and how much? Where to book it? etc.

yeah we did it in borovets last year if i remember it was about £20 and you were on for an hour.. and they are good fun and fast..will do it again this year.

Cool! Where did you hire them?

Was there a guide with you? Do you need insurance especially?

yep there was a guide not sure on insurance.. we hired them from outside the rila..

They are a waste of money and time, Check out my previous postings on this subject..

REad your earlier report ALan, it says you didn't try it as they would not offer a discount for 19 of you....I must ask.. having not tried it how do you know it is a waste of money.

I have tried it and they are a waste of money. For most of the journey we were led over tree roots through a forest up and down, up and down, when we came to a flat section and I revved the thing up the leader stopped the procession and came back and wagged his finger at me and told me to go slow. View at the top was the only good thing.

we went on one last year pretty scary for a few seconds
but a great giggle, if your on holiday why not try it im sure you will enjoy it

just returned from pamporovo, we had an hour skidooing and it was great fun, cost us £25 for the hour. go at night, it brilliant!

Did it last year and it was boring and dull. My first time was in Canada and i was allowed to open the skidoo up and feel it's real speed. In Borovets it was more like a tour for the elderly and the guide got his knickers in a twist when you tried to go anything that resembled fast. The quad bikes were a different matter, cheaper than the Skidoos and alot more fun.
