We have booked to go skiing and boarding for the first time NEXT January to Borovets. Can someone or anyone give us a good clue as what, as beginners, we really should need to take with us.We are in the process of buying Ski suits and gloves and goggles. Considering we only have 20KG for each suitcase.......what else is to be taken?

Tony for your first time skiing do not spend a lot of money on gear unless you are 100% certain you will be going again. Should be plenty of bargains around now as the season starts to draw to a close.You will need some good thick rubber soled boots for walking in the evenings and to get to the slopes.
Dont worry about the 20kgs luggage everyone else has it too and we manage

For a first timere hire your weather gear in the uk ie two piece suit googles etc. Buy two roll neck thermal norweign tops and leggings, 3 pairs of wool based socks a good wool hat, sun glasses, sun cream and lip cream the sun is very strong. gloves TK max is best for these.
Only take for eve a good pair of boots (walking) four or five tee shirts one good jumper as the bars are very warm and wear your ski jacket at night. Two pairs of jeans 10 pairs of under pants 7 pair of socks sweat top ...
