Actually dragged my old body up the hill for the first ski of the season.... admittedly was not that bothered as to the lack of snow, but thought, ah well, my daughter will enjoy it
Passing over the still green ground up to the middle station, the odd pile of snow from cannons laying around, my mood did not really improve, only when hitting the top station did i start to look a little more excited... skied across to the 6 man, up to the top of blue 1, and set off... what is this ? a little fluffy snow at the side ? no ice ! few people... and sunshine
My little girl is awesome, off like she had never been away, she is 6 now, so in her mind she is an expert, and skis as fast.... a few runs of 1, and i'm suggesting red 8 down to Shilligarnika.. the missus looks a little worried, but with great piste conditions i knew it would not be a problem if she took a little tumble... Awesome ! she was down it like a ferret down a rabbit hole.. 3 times up and down, virtually deserted pistes.. finally giving up cos daddies legs hurt
Ok, only a few pistes open, Blue 1, red 8, blue 10, base of red 12 and a couple of connecting runs.. and all of the nursery area..... Other runs are yet to be opened even though they seem to have a good cover of snow, but i'm sure it will happen in the coming days..... What set out as a bit of a rubbish day turned into a great one
