There's plenty of local mehanas thet serve really good local food. Apres ski is good. If you want to try someting different have a go at the paragliding on the mountain. I'd have thought that the week your going would be a good atmosphere all round.

Thanks for that Borofan. Will have to get amongst abit of paragliding, and have heard the bars are very loud and open 24hrs over that time of year which is good news.
any other suggestions/recommendations would be much appreciated.

Freddy.

Would particularly recommend Amigos (great atmosphere and tasty pizzas) - a really buzzing bar.

Sir Galahads is another favourite.

There's a 10 pin bowling in the Strazhite hotel.

Bankso is the BEST!!

I've not been to bansko myself, so can't recommend anywhere personally, but everyone I've spoke to rates it. I'm told it's quite a bit different to borovets because it is actually a town. My mates have been a load of times and the ones that have been other places hae raved about the new lifts. I'll have to have a look myself Very Happy

re: Skiing in Bansko

If you have a hangove and need somewhere quieter (or for families), then there are plenty of other places. The place has over 300 mehanas and I think you'll find there is something for everyone... from a stag party to an OAP's night out!
