Skiing in Borovets 4 - 8Dec. Too risky??

Hi all,

I am planning to go skiing in Borovets during the 4th and 8th of December. I am eager to book but at the same time don't know how the snow cover will be!

Can anybody tell me how it is normally?? or maby some weather predictions for the coming early December??

ps does anyone know when the gondola starts? I thought it was about mid dec (in time for christmas)

For example there was good cover on 5.12.2005 but there is a problem with recent archive retrieval.

Well this summers been wet as hell the same as last summer, so I'd say you'll be fine based on the same pattern effecting the winter. There was a lot of early snow last season after a wet summer over europe. Only god really knows though and he's remaining tight lipped.

sorry cant recommend it for a 'skiing holiday' if you want a holiday with may be some skiing then you might be ok, one of the main problems is that the lift system wont be working, then theres snow cover. Last year it was fine from the 5th, but outside the weekends you couldnt get any decent access to the mountains. From memory it was the 15th o16th last year that we started skiing, though im sure someone will be able to give you the exact time capacity and outside temp!!

, the official season opened on the 15th of december last year, but they opened early as there was snow, but i think only about a week early

Season opens on the 15th and although the lifts might open early if there is snow, it will only be for the weekends.
