G'day,
Small report on the conditions in Borovets today.
Very overcast in Borovets all day today but above the mid station of the gondola was beautful weather.Markujik 1 was open and the snow was fantastic, nicely groomed piste with fresh powder.The learners button lift at the top of the gondola was operating and the snow cover is good.Skiing down from the top of the gondola was fantastic but only to the mid station.The black run {Fon Fon} is skiable, and the first section of yastrebets 1 to the mid station is skiable.Skiing on the first section of Yastrebets 2 before you have to cut across to Yastrebets 1 and then over to mid station is possible with good snow coverage.Skiing down the rest of yastrebets 1, 2 and 3 to the bottom is not possible yet until we get more snow.
The lift operators said they will hopefully open Markujik 2 on the weekend.
The small button lift at the top of Sitnyakovo is open with good snow coverage.
Have been on the new magic carpet ride from the restaurant up top which takes you back to the top of the gondola.You can leave your skis on or carry them but be careful as there are no handrails and at the top of the escalator when it levels out it can throw you off balance!!!.If you would like to see acouple of pictures of the carpet ride to can view them on my picture gallery.
Above all, my husband had a ball up the mountain today.
