We are off to Bansko on the 4th March and its our first time to bulgaria.
I've read you can't ski sometimes in March & they close some slopes. Is this true?
Does anyone know what the snow conditions can be like?
Do they close any of the lower slopes? if yes can you get access to the higher slopes?
Do they have any Irish pubs anywhere?
Regards
Suzanne
I was in Bansko last March and the conditions were excellent. A couple of runs were closed due to avalanche risk, but the main ski area had plenty of snow and lots of sunshine. The blue run to the bottom of the gondola was still open whilst I was there.
You can check historical snow reports on igluski website for the dates that you are going, which should offer some reassurance.
I've been to Pamps that same week in March and was able to ski the whole week no problem. However, it can be a bit hit and miss and you just have to take it as it comes.
