As it's our first skiing trip can anyone say what it's like skiing whilst it's snowing?

As said visibility can be impaired, depends how hard it snows (as you might expect). When you get flat light terrrain can be very hard to read, to be honest that's on of my least favourite conditions to ride in. Best tip is have something solid in your field of vision, trees, piste makers or other people, all help your eyes be able to determine what actually is up and down. When it starts dumping head for the trees is the rule I go by.
simply it helps to have mirrored sunnies for blue sunny skies and orange lenses for snowy cloudy low light conditions - helps you to see how the slope changes. even still keep your knees relaxed so the odd bump doesnt take you off guard
