My friend has just returned from a weeks skiing in Andorra, on the last day he hired some snow blades, said they were excellent and much easier to ski.
Does anybody know if you can hire these in Pamporovo?, me and a friend are heading out there from Manchester Airport on the 6th March.
I know they definately have them to hire in Borovets (not much use as you're not going there) at a cost of about £12 a wk. Not sure about Pamp. but they are not always on disply or advetised, just ask in the ski shops.
I have blades and I love them, tend to go much faster once you get the hang of them! I bought mind 2 yrs ago at a cost of about £60 in Borovets, best £60 I've ever spent!
i have blades..they are great fun..certainly worth a go..easier to turn on than normal skis..and can be quick if used correctly..long skis are quicker in a straight line but i have no problem keeping up with them doing turns.
They are good for improving your turns and help you to find the "edges"..
when i first tried them in a lesson..i immediately bought some...that good!
