Snow Boarding Boots

Can any1 help...

I am snowboarding for the 1st time this year, never done it before so obviously going to hire the board and maybe the boots. But speaking to a few people I have been told the the boots you normally hire can be worn out and not the cleanist or decent smelling, Is it worth me investing in a pair of boots n just hiring the board? Chances are I will go boarding again i think. Also how much are an average pair of boots?

Any help would be great, cheers Confused

re: Snow Boarding Boots

Hi,

I had the same 'problem' 4 years ago in Borovets and decided to buy a pair of boots.

I bought a nice pair of Burton boots which have been great, stayed clean and non-smelly too!

Would cost around £140 here, I paid around £85-£90.

Using them again this saturday!

re: Snow Boarding Boots

Best to buy boots, its the most important part of your set-up.

re: Snow Boarding Boots

Also, keep taking your board back if they give you a broken one, some are in very bad condition Sad

I agree with above, your boots are your most important piece, if they are bad it will ruin your hol Sad

re: Snow Boarding Boots

I've always used hired boots, although in some cases can be slightly painful + smelly, on the whole I've never experienced any major causes for concern. Go with what you've booked, if you don't like the boots just swap them for a better pair. Enjoy your holiday Razz
