Hi everyone, I'm going to Borovets Jan 20th and wanna ski big time after looking forward to it for ages but can't believe that it hasn't been snowing enough to open the whole resort up .

I keep reading reports about only 2 lifts open and icy patches in places and having to walk down some slopes and sometimes it's to cold for the snow machines to work and other times it's to warm for the snow machines to work and long ques for the gondola!!!

In the past what are the snow conditions normally like for Borovets at this time of year?

There's 6 of us going and most of us are taken intermediate lessons, what are the snow conditions and ques like for these lessons on the slopes?

The snow forecast for the next week doesn't look to good and still can't believe that it hasn't been snowing much seeing it's supposed to be their coldest time of year. I booked Jan 20th thinking it's about a month after the resort opens so there would be a good build up of snow and everything would have been sorted.

Has anyone got an idea what the snow is like in the Alps and Austria etc at the moment just out of curiosity? Are all the other resorts around Europe suffering from a lack of snow too?

Any info you can provide would be appreciated
