Snow Cannons

The official Bansko website claims snow is guaranteed from Dec to May due to the snow cannons... Any evidence that this may be true??

they have snow cannons, and snow so reckon that is evidence enough... I read an article that said the snow cannons in Bansko covered 80% of the slopes - (not sure I believe that) but nice if it is true, anyway we will not need snow cannons come this end of this week it will have snowed, its getting colder now in Bansko and they are expectiing snow....

Yeah I read that too. I saw the cannons last season in March, so obviously they weren't needed. But you're right, positive thought is all we need. The reports are starting to look more promising. I'm off on the 24th so really hoping. As without snow, a snow holiday no matter how positively you try and think is no good.

I believe that they meant that they can guarantee that a few runs will be skiable from Dec to May with the aid of their many snow cannons, but certainly not the entire mountain.

me too Mikey I get there on the 23rd... or early hours of 24th staying in the Lion.... I am really positive that we will have snow, got a mail yesterday from Bansko and they honestly do think it is going to snow very soon, the weather has changed in the last day from spring like weather to very cold - only been to Bansko for one day last christmas so looking forward to sking there, then off to pamps for New Year

We're in the Lion too. Stayed there last March, such a lush hotel. Bansko was such a great place, the snow was wonderful and the pistes were excellent. Look out for me, I'll be in the bright green bonfire jacket and my girlfriend will have these riduclous bright orange pants on.

well please talk to me as I am on my own I will be the one propping the bar up with no one to talk to and I will be in either an all black outfit or pale blue jacket with white bottoms.... I will probably see you before you see me by the sounds of it
Already got a date for Christmas eve... well at least a dancing partner far too young for me to class him as a date.... flying out from Manchester at 4:30pm with crystal...

Of course we'll talk to you! We get in to the Lion late on xmas eve. We fly from Manchester at 13.30 on the 24th.

IS nobody there from the 6th jan onwards and will the snow still be there
