Snow Dome

Just had a ski at the Snow Dome in Tamworth and left feeling a little disappointed.
The snow was rock hard and had lots of ice paches. The purpose of our (family) visit was to refresh what we had learned last year in Pamps. It was hard work on the ice/snow and we kept getting bombarded by teenage snowboards. This has left us feeling a bit unhappy. I can't remember it being that hard in Pamps. Has anyone had any simular experiences?

re: Snow Dome

Not been to the ski dome. However was in pamps13-20 March 04 and conditions were like that every morning around ski depot and bottom chair lift.Would be like falling on concrete.Having said that, a good learning experience......conditions are not always going to be ideal.

re: Snow Dome

Hi

I go to the snowdome at Tamworth frequently and yes its not the same as the real thing in Bulgaria but hey we are in England and if thats the best we get then we just have to make the most of it. I would love to ski / board on the real thing week in week out but it's just not possible so I just have to make do and at least I get to go more that just one week in Jan / Feb

re: Snow Dome

We have just been to the Snowdome and were very disappointed, we asked for our money back for the 2nd hour as we left after 30mins. They refused, I would not recommend the Snowdome to anyone that can ski already.
