Hi Theresa,
When are you going to Bansko? My husband and I are going for the first time tomorrow and we are pretty excited!
We have read some bad reviews of Bansko just recently
Things like; the staff at the hotels and bars are rude and grumpy, People push you in the Qs for the lifts and the resort is a messy building site!
Of course none of this really matters when you are surrounded by beautiful views at the top of the Pirin mountain range but it would nice if those reviews were not true!
I hope you have a nice time, we are staying in the Perun if you have ever been there. X

Hi Carla - I'm off to Bansko on the 26th Jan, so not long now! I wouldn't worry too much about the bad reviews you have read, people tend to react to how you treat them so as long as you are nice and pleasant I'm sure they will be the same back to you (!)... at least that's what I've always found! We've made a couple of Bulgarian friends from our previous ski trips and meet up with them everytime we're over there! We're staying in the Grand Kempinski this time, so we're even closer to the slopes! We've haven't been to the Peren, but friends of ours stayed there last March and said it was very nice.
