Snow conditions later in the season

Hi,obviously people are getting worried about the snow conditions that are currently around.
Based on previous experience are things likely to improve later into the season or is this likely to just be a bad year?
We are due out 12th March and am starting to get a bit apprehensive ("worried" probably too strong a word).
Any info would be most helpful.

Lets be honest, its only January 11th, and the unseasonal lack of snow is unusual as we would expect a reasonable fall around new year... That said, who knows ?? perhaps this is going to be the worst year on record for snowfall, but on the other hand it could turn out to be the best... If someone was asking me at the end of March then likely i could make a more definite conclusion...

Last season was not a particularly good year for the snow, it came and kept coming, but not of any real depth, the year before it only really snowed a few times, but we saw two falls of 1.2m and above... I can guarantee that it will snow again, but as to frequency and depth ???
