Snow cover in April

Hi, my family and I are thinking of going to Bansko at Easter. This is the first week in April. We have not been skiing before and I am trying to find out what the snow coverage is like in April. I have been told it may be a little like slush for beginners. All comments will be appreciated.

Question Smile

re: Snow cover in April

I learnt to ski at Pamporovo, the instructers are really good and speak good english and i reccomend Bulgaria to anyone who is learning, never been to bansko, but i think they will be just as good, your family will be placed in a group of all beginners so just have a good time.
after 2 or 3 days you will probally be off the nursery slopes and coming down from the top of mountain on the green runs.
Have fun

Thanks for replying.

Ummm, I thought so. Apparently, I've read there's not much to do in Bansko if there's no snow. It's such a big investment too, as I've got to kit out a family of 4 with ski gear. Smile

Thanks Brian. I definately want to go skiing without taking the kids out of school. I haven't booked yet though as I'm a little worried there won't be enough snow.
