Snow in April????

Hi all,

Planning on coming out to Bansko end of March beginning of April and was wondering what the snow conditions would be like then i.e will there be any????

I would put your chances of skiable conditions at 50/50 just have a look at the archived webcam pics to see when the thaw has been in previous years. I would definately take my kit! Have a great time

I went 26 March for a week last year. At the start of the week conditions were superb, with a decent amount of fresh snow. Even the resort run was just about skiable with the cannons. By the end of the week things had warmed up though, and all but the top runs were very slushy. It really comes down to how lucky you are.

Also I just looked at the webcam archive on this site, and all the pictures from March 05 seem to be in the town, where the snow will obviously disappear a lot quicker than on the slopes.

We were there till the 4th April!!! conditions were really good! Although thawed in patched on some slopes!!! plenty of snow tho!! I should stay it will be same there seems to be alot more snow this year than last tho
