I have just seen a similar thing on this website and trying to figure out how I missed that and everyone else for that matter. Ah well, it's damned good news in any case!
I will have a much better idea just after 6pm tonight when the next update on the charts takes place. But, currently, I would say that they are looking good for at least a few cm's of fresh snow this weekend. It may even be a bit more but I will have a better idea later tonight/early tomorrow.
It was a cold dry weekend in Bulgaria so all the snow of last week has now packed down.
Conditions at Bansko (20/30cm) and Borovets (25/35cm) are similar with hard, icy conditions at both resorts. Pamporovo (10/23cm) has the best skiing on the upper slopes due to the shallow snow depth lower down
Have just had a look at the 6pm weather chart update and it has changed slightly as expected. It now looks almost certain that there will be fresh snow this Friday/Saturday but not very much, just a dusting. The temperatures will be getting progressively colder from mid next week onwards and there looks like there could be more snow after the 20th Jan.
All in all I would say that things aren't looking too bad at this stage. Not brilliant but not bad either.
