Having not been there before and not knowing about the position of cannons etc, i was wondering how little snow needs to be there before the runs are closed.
This seems like a daft question I know but how well are the pistes maintained etc, i am going on 14th Feb and am worried by falling snow ( no pun intended ) levels.
I am asking this question my self; I will be there as well from 12 Feb. Is very unlikely for snow to melt till 14 Feb the question is if there will new snowfalls before that at the moment the slopes are very icy, however there is a plenty of time for new snowfalls mid February normally is the best snow and weather, so fingers cross for nice half term.
Was in Bansko last week and there was a bit of melting but there has been more snow/ colder temperatures this week so you have no need to worry. At the top there is well over a metre of snow.
If you go to snow report on this site then go to snow for Borovets, it will indicate nearest snow fall predicted. This says that there is now 250cm on upper slopes? I hope so as we go on the 21st Feb. Cant wait
