Hi all..

I have to admit that yesterday rates as maybe one of the best days skiing that i have experienced in about thirty years. My mate Dave (Canski) and i got up top with the call of new snow only to be greeted with the top lifts closed We could see the fresh from Platoto, debating our situation there was some activity around the T-bar, line up in anticipation and managed to be fifth or sixth up. Even the girls in front of us were nice enough to fall off at the top so it put us first, and off-piste we went. We skied the bowl below Todorka, 70cm to a metre of fresh snow on a good base, fresh tracks from the top, open run descending to bush tufts that made for errrrr interesting skiing, you gotta guess where the branches are hehehehe, Dave guessed wrong at least once
In a moment it was over, back to a now massive queue at the T-bar. We waited about 20mins to get back up and although it was still very good we were skiing through other peoples tracks
We had in our minds the very sad news of the boarder who had lost his life just across the mountain from us, it was in some way a dedication to the way he lived his life, and although we mourn his loss, we understand his need and salute his memory...R.I.P.
