lol...
Damon it's impossible to predict the weather as last season showed - most of Europe has a real shortage of snow.
The last 2 years the snow seems to have come later in Bansko and last winter in particular was quite mild by the 'normal' standards.
Booking early Jan would feel like a gamble to me, but you just never know what the winter will bring. I'll be going late Jan as at least if the snow hasn't been plentiful, it should be cold enough to have had the cannons running for a ...

Any more changes on the horizon? What's the talk in the town?

Hope you're well

re: Snow in Bansko

Sorry damon, I couldnt resist. But if it helps, my son and I have been to Bansko for the past 5 years and normally go in the 3rd week of Jan, apart from this year we have had good snow. Even this year though, there was sufficient snow to ski most runs, the ones that suffered were as mentioned Red 12 where there were no cannons, and also the top runs blue 3 and 11 I think they are, I am sure last season was the mildest and the driest as far as snow goes for many years. the later in Jan ...

Hope this is some help.
