Snow or Rain

Does anybody know whether the 12cm of rain forcast on metcheck for Bansko during the middle of next week will actually fall as snow I ask this because another website which shows short term forcasts always says snow when metcheck says rain All very confusing Oh well, hopefully it will snow alot between no and me going in mid feb

There's no way of being sure until/if it drops. What is rain at the bottom could well be snow at the top as well don't forget

depends on the temp, its due to go up next week up then come back down, i recon it will fall as snow at the top! fingers crossed!

Just checked WSI energycast, thi is a tool for forcasting weather fluctuations across europe.Good news snow will be falling over the next two weeks.Hornster and Benson are correct.Roll on 27th.

Currently, in Bansko it is 17c - and hot!!

I would expect it to fall as rain, it is like a british summer!!

It may be 17'C at the moment but I can assure you that by the middle of next week the temperatures are dropping very fast to around the -10'C at about the 2000m level and even colder on the summits. Combine with that the windchill factor and you are looking at -25'C on the tops - seriously.
