Snow over the New Year Period!

Hi

I am hoping to take my children (11&15) ski-ing for the first time over the New Year period to Borovets.

Please Please Please could some-one let me know if the snow history is good for that time of year.

As far as I can remember the Snow fall was'nt great that in Jan07!
but then again last season was a strange and poor season for snowfall

I will answer your question for you...I have spent the last two newyears in Borovets.

Last newyear wasn't great at the bottom of the slope around the Rila hotel but was just about skiable. The top of the mountain was much better.

The year before was brilliant though, there was crap loads of snow all over the place.

Hi Nik, I will ne in Borovets over New Year with my just-15yo snowboarding twin sons. We are staying at the Iglika Palace. We spent last NY in Pamps with not a lot of snow, and sincerely hope this NY in Boro will be better.

aaron, I can't open any of your links, but my computer is being silly at the moment. I had researched late dec/early jan snowfalls, taken into account height of resort, etc, and Borovets came out best, that's why I booked it!
