My friends and I are planning a trip for Xmas to Eastern Europe for some snow! i've been tolds that Bulgaria is a good and cheap location. Ideally we want to get a chalet to self cater for ourselves but i really have no idea about Bulgaria and what is best to do. We have a mixture of experienced snowboarders to beginners. Some will hit the snow each day and some wont. ANY ADVICE at all would be greatly appreciated!!
Bulgaria is officially the best value destination for skiing (or even boarding) in the world... 3 main resorts, each offering something a little differant. If your idea is a real holiday, daytime fun on the slopes, then drinkies/food/laughs in the evening, all on a budget, then you have come to the right place... Apartments are more common than chalets, some will sleep up to 10, so check around...
Im sure we will get some comments about which resort, but for now just have a read through ...

We can help on the Borovets side as we live here but like D'But says, it's really down to the party size, what you are looking for in terms of the holiday etc as that will determine which resort etc. Everyone has their favourites for many different reasons, so if you provide a bit more info, people will be able to give advice / suggestions...
