Heres the latest from snowy bansko, i've just come off the phone to a ski instructer i am friendly with out in Bansko and at the end of his day he compiled me this report. When he awoke this morning he estimated that 4 cm had fallen overnight however it was raining when he first looked out the window. When he had had brekky and got changed he went for a quick walk and it had once more yurned to snow he estimated that by the time he was at the gondola at 9:30 a further 2 cm had fallen. He told me that he could barely see when he neared the end of the gondola because it was SNOWING SO HARD!!! it continued on and off this morning as 2 runs that had been closed opened up. By lunch he and his group estimated that the snow was 30CM thicker than the day before at the top (and this instructor has been around a at bansko for 6 years) not to much snow fell this afternoon, possibly another 5 cm. More of the same is expected for the next two days and the Bansko locals are expecting a mega mega dump next week and the news out there are warning the high public of dangerous heavy snow this coming week........ Hope this brightens up all of your days a little and i look forward to seeing the snow cover report being updated with the latest snow
