hi, i'm new to the whole skiing thing and i was wondering how confident you all are that the snow conditions will be good on the week of the 30th of December. I'm goin to pamporovo and was just checking there and it says that the average snow cover is 20cm and it seems everywhere else has at least 70cm cover. Is this the usual scenario and is 20cm good enuf for beginners? any opinions are appreciated. cheers
I would never use my own ski on 20 cm snow, but if there aint more, then i rent a pair in Pamorovo. I think it must be more then 20 cm on top, but down it look like 20 cm. Anyway it will be good enough for us all. See you there, cause im going 27. :-)
it can increasre and decrease by a lot in a week let a lone 3 weeks, you should be fine if you have a look at the webcam 2 is where the ski school is so that will give you some idea of the depth of the snow.
we were beginners in jan 07... the average was 6cm... we managed ok, more would have been better but we learned to ski and had a great time so i reckon you guys will be fine
I also went to Pamporovo last year. You can ski on 6 cm, but watch out for rocks and make sure you dont fall. That can hurt on little snow.
Its also a total different feeling when you ski on a lot of snow, cause you you just ski instead of looking out for dangerous things in the slope.
But don worry.....it will be plenty of snow. If not we can afterski all day. :-)
