Snowboard School for Kids

Is there such thing as a minimum age for snowboard? My son is 8 and wants to learn next year in Bansko but this site does not offer snowboard packages for kids under 12 – is there any reason for this?

shoe size, when i was out there last year I was told its not age but the size of the shoe my daughter is a 4 and could have snow boarded even though shes 11, although an eight year old will possibly have too small a feet

if boots are a problem have a look on ebay. i got a really good pair of burton boots for £25!!! size may still be a problem but it cant hurt to look

Try contacting the boys at the snowshack when they are back from their Summer holidays. They will be able to tell you what is possible.
The lessons that they offer are also very good.

Shoe size is not the only problem - my son (7 at the time) wanted to learn to board in Boro earlier this year. He takes a size 4 (adult) so finding boots wasnt a problem but as he had to have adult bindings on a kids board - the bindings kept touching the snow on the back of the board and so he found it difficult to control the board.

Maybe its the whole boot/binding thing with kids boards!!

The snowshack is in pamps, but thought they would probably know what could be acheived.
