Snowboard hire/tuition

Hi, I am one of 6 blokes going to Borovets on 2 March staying at the Iglika Palace Hotel.
We are going to try snowboarding for the first time, some are intermediate skiiers.
We have booked thru Balkan.
Are we better booking a package for hire/lessons/lift pass thru them or sorting this out in the resort when we get there?
Would anyone recommend a ski school/board and boot hire shop to us?
Idea is we do maybe 3 days on boards, see if we like it..can do it!..then possibly back on the skis ...

Any comments would be really appreciated. (Unless you are telling me the hotel is a dive and I will worry for two months!) Very Happy
Cheers, Brian.

re: Snowboard hire/tuition

Hotel not a dive, we're out the same week staying in the Flora this time.

Bob did a Boarding taster session one evening the first year we went (booked at the rila hotel.) Don't know how you go about booking a half week. Might be better to find instructor that will do it as "overtime". The first few days they'll be busy with the newbies in ski/board school.

book the package through balkan...it will deffo be cheaper than sorting once there...even if you only do half a week in lesssons.

Thanks everyone. I've actually found quite a bit of info using the search facility...I had tried it before but it came back without any matches, thought it was not working..it seems fine now.
I would have thought booking over there would be cheaper but doesn't seem the case?

re: Snowboard hire/tuition

I can arrange boarding for the 1st half of the week then ski the second half at the same price as a ski pack.
Fiona. Very Happy
