Snowboard school

Hi all

I have snowboarded twice before (only one day each time), and I was quite good at the end of the each day.

I have booked the full snowboard package (it was cheaper than just hire and lift pass). I was wondering if I should bother going to snowboard school. I dont want to spend a lot of my holiday (4 hours a day?) doing this if I am not going to benefit much from it.

Any advice?

Thanks,

Damo.

re: Snowboard school

If you have only ever had 2 lessons then I would think it imperitive that you attend a full weeks lessons. Remember lessons finish at approx. 3.30pm each day so you will have plenty of time to practice what you have learnt.

We all think we are good at what we do, but an instructor will make you even better, plus you will have great fun learning with your classmates.

Try it for at least 3 days, you can always go it alone after that if you wish to.

Best to start out with the lessons then see how you go, there is always something to learn (I have never had lessons but my girlfriend taught me loads of tips after her lessons last time we went!! )

re: Snowboard school

we always need lessons, even for internediate boarders. it avoids you to take bad habits, and helps to improve faster.

Hiya,

We have booked snowboard lessons too, they are only 2 hours a day for 3 days so we are doing them and taking our blades too so we can swap about a bit. We bought our own board boots too cos we dont like hire ones, they are smelly!! hehe!!

re: Snowboard school

Can't afford my own board/boots yet, but if I enjoy this holiday, I'll definitely be buying them and heading boarding for all my holidays.

re: Snowboard school

Damo, best stick with the lessons, as people say you'll have a great laugh,
If you were thinking of getting your own boots i'd get them out there, loads cheaper
