Snowboarding for the 1st time in march and would just like to know how easy it is to pick up for beginners, obviously i know i'm gona be constantly falling on my ass for the 1st few days, but after a 3-4 days practice am i likey to be on the black runs....or is there no chance.
I may also have 1 or 2 lessons in the UK on the real snow slopes to get the basics.
hiya
it depends some pick it up easy and some dont
have u done skatboarding or surfing at all??
me and other half started learning at same time and he was doing black runs by day 3 happily
couple yrs later well i still decribe myself as a learner
he had skatebaorded and surfed etc but how much that helped him i dont know cos with them you use your weight on your back foot. also id say i dont have very good natural balance
Hum, propabally not the black runs, but if you stick at it and test yourself you should be able to pick it up ok. If your going in a group I would suggest ski school for a couple of days and then go off and practice on the bigger runs via the lifts. Basically the ski schools make you walk up a very slight incline for the first few days. It just knackers you out and its boring. Go and give some of the bigger runs a go. By the way in Brovets at the moment, 2nd time, been to pamps as well. Conditions are good, love it.
Just got back from Borovets and had my 1st snow boarding holiday.
I'd had a few lessons on the indoor snow slopes back home first and got to a point where I was able to go down the slope slowly and able to just about turn.
Booked my self 3, 2 hour lessons in the snowboard school in the intermediate group. The instructor took a look at what we could do on the nursery slope then took all of the group onto the blue runs.(in at the deep end)

Hi there!
Just got back from Borovets and had my 1st snow boarding holiday.

This turned out to be the best way for all of us and by the end of the week we were going down whatever was put infront of us.
Be prepared for a few bumps and bruises and don't give up.......you will enjoy, meet new people and be coming back for more as soon as possible.
The 1st day is a bit chaotic with every one getting sorted with their gear and instructors but after 3-4 days you'll be fine.
Have a good one!
