Snowboarding in Borovets ?

Hi all,

What is the situation regarding boarding in borrovets, I heard that some runs are closed to boarders ?

I have ski'd before but never boarded, I have been half convinced by friends that even though skiing is fun boarding is even better ?

Finally, are lessons & geer hire that is included in travel agents package the same for boarding as for ski

I am oing to borovets this friday for boarding too and the thing about closed runs isnt true at least not applied!!!

i skied for 9 years then switched to boarding and loved it a lot more than skiing! A lot safer, easier and fun!

The board hire works the same with skis,sad but heard that even new skis are in, no new board stuff!!

anyway u'll just love it!! try it once, wont regret!

I have to disagree and having tried boarding i find skiing much more exhilerating as you can pass boarders down the mountain like they're standing still and if you purchase blades you can have some serious fun. Anyway i hope you enjoy your boarding holiday

My 13yr old son has just come back from Boro. 1st time snowboarder. He loved it. all runs ok and snowboarding hire/school excellent. Would advise you to book before you go though as it is expensive out there

I boarded there and it was brilliant. No runs blocked. Don't know where that came from. We boarded every run in Boro.
Don't listen to the others. Boarding is the future! Wayyyy better than skiing.
Just make sure that you get some decent hire gear. A couple of my mates hired gear in Boro and it was really poor stuff. The bindings were all cracked and they kept coming out of them.
