So Sofia airport has been closed leaving many flights cancelled and many diverted to Thessoloniki. Not good for guests.

Wow can someone nail Manc Toms feet to the floor, that's enough snow dancing now Tom Confused

Where's Mark IOW for a snow forecast when you need him?

I'm flying in on Sunday, please pretty please let the airport be open and the roads to Borovets clear!

I promise to share my Marmite at breakfast if I can get to Boro as expected...

Just looked at the Sofia airport web site and its not looking good at the moment Sad
However saying that Bulgaria is pretty damn good at clearing snow so I think you should all be all right if you are flying Saturday Very Happy

Flights are still landing and taking off at the moment. The reason there are still delays showing is from catching up from earlier in day.
We are waiting for a vienna flight coming in at 20.50hrs and they have taken off. If they did not think they would be able to land in sofia they would not have allowed this.

Flights due to leave the airport are leaving on time now too.

I have it on good authority that you will find Markiow on the slopes or in a bar some where in Borovets..... Cheers and that's exactly where you will find us on Sunday Skiing

Great news Nightmuffy, glad they are getting flights landed, its gutting for people coming out in the next few days to have to worry about the airport when the conditions on the mountain are the best they have been for the past 5 years.
Hope everyone has a great week and you guys enjoy your trip to Boro and hosting the bad boys on Wednesday (you know who you are) Jon and I could be tempted to do an exchange at the end of Feb
