2 weeks to go now, the excitements getting high,
Waiting for the moment that I can start to fly,
To the place in the Balkans that we go every year,
Where the smiles are as warm as the Red Robins tear.

Never does it fail me, this land of make believe,
Where you are always welcome, and never asked to leave,
Where a kind word or favour is never far away,
And the magic of the people surrounds you every day.

Think of what you will as you head off to this land,
Some of which you'll wonder and try to understand,
Just what it is that captures the soul, the mind the heart,
And why this land will never let the love in you depart.

Did we ever think Bulgaria was really somewhere bad,
Did someone not say to us that it was full of people sad,
So now you'll see reality, a European bliss,
A warm and loving paradise, and a golden nugget kiss.

Perhaps you'll not agree with me, and you'll tell me I am wrong,
And that it was not so special as I've told you all along,
If thats the case then fair enough, I 'll take a backward step,
And join the foreign legion, and become a Balkan rep.

Fly off in your thousands ski the place to bits,
Board it till you're legs drop off and your're scared out of your wits,
Cause all to soon you'll waken, and the snow will be no more,
And memories are all thats left, and again, the engines roar.
