Sorry..........

..............I'm sure all these questions have been asked before but because my computer is soooo slow it would take me till Jan 13th (departure date for my 1st skiing holiday woo hoo!!) to look them up!

So here goes:
1) Socks. I've read its important to get good ski socks but they're pretty expensive so would I get away with just a couple of pairs of them and some thick sports socks?

2) Currency. Will I be able to exchange euros in Pamps ok or do I need to take dollars? (sterling ...

3) Night-time. What do people wear out at night?? I know heel and a mini would be out (!!) but should I take some dressy bits or just all casuals?

4) What do you wear under your ski trousers?!?!?! (no rude comments please Razz)

Emm think thats all for now but I'm sure I'll think of a few more things! Thanks guys xx

Hi,

I'm sure you'll have a great time, but I would definately invest in a couple of pairs of good technical ski socks.

Currency, either works fine but from what I understand from other posts on this board there are cash machines in resort, so maybe you don't need to take too much loose cash.
Nightime wear - pass, whatever your comfortable and warm in I suppose.

re: Sorry..........

def invest in two or three good pairs of ski socks, if you wear two pairs you may find they rub and you end up with blisters, plus once you have them you dont need to keep buying so a good investment.

Euros will be fine in fact when we were in bansko some of the shops were taking euros and thats how we payed for our taxi.

at night I wear combats, a tee shirt fleece and timberland boots. but if you want to get more dressed up you can, but no heels are a no.

Under my ski pants I just wear pants, find I get realy hot and have never needed thermals, But if you are in ski school and stood around may need something underneath, take some in case.

WHICH HOTEL ARE YOU STAYING AT? IF YOU ARE STAYING AT THE PERILIK OR THE MURGOVETS YOU CAN WEAR YOUR HEELS & LITTLE SKIRTS BECAUSE YOU DON'T NEED TO GO OUTSIDE, THERE IS ATUNNEL BETWEEN BOTH HOTELS WITH SHOPS ETC. IF NOT ALL THE GIRLS IN OUR PARTY USUALLY WEAR JEANS , TRAINERS OR BOOTS AND GLAM UP WITH THEIR TOPS, MOST PEOPLE DO THIS SO YOU WON'T BE OUT OF PLACE.

re: Sorry..........

hi

On a night out wear what you feel best in, I go out in Jeans and T-shirt with a fleece/jacket to use between bars.

Under my ski pants i wear a pair of shorts. Regarding layers I'd remend start of with a few layers to see hoe you find it. It's easier to take off than put on Wink

re: Sorry..........

Thanks everyone! I will go out on lunch today and get some ski socks in the shop down the road, they're doing 3 pairs for 15 euro so not bad at all when you think about it! We're staying in the Orlovetz (sp) hotel by the way Smile . I think it'll just be jeans, boots & some nice tops so.

Now all I need is some snow................... Sad
