Spending Money for Borovets

Been keeping an eye on the reports for / of Borovets - going out there 24th Jan for my first every snoowboarding holiday and can't wait !!!!

Seeing as my bank are a bunch of t*ssers and only let me have a VISA electron i'm not able to get any money out over there.

I'm planning on taking LEV's out there as the exchange rate is quite good over here - I can get 2.6 ish lev to the pound commision free ....

Looks like I'll be taking about 800 lev for a week - there's 6 of us half board ...

Looks like I'll be taking about 800 lev for a week - there's 6 of us half board @ the Rila with all the equipment and passes including in the holiday. I'm sure i'll get laughed at but is 800 lev for partying and food enough ??

Dave,

I was (am?) Dad in party of four, we spent about 1400 levs whcih included several pictures and kids portrait (120 lev?) which you probably will not be needing, however you will pobably have the opportunity to drink more beers than I did, although I did my best Booze

If you can't use VISA Electron out there I am pretty sure that the cashpoint by the gondala worked if you have a Maestro symbol on your card, others may well confirm.

i'm also going to Bg for the first time leaving on 26th Jan and I think 800 lev is a bit much, 500 lev should be enough.

Also what I should have said is that I have 800 lev to myself not between 6! (Didn't make it very clear)

Filling in on what Bill and Lisa said, we took £600 with us (again party of 4) had a great time (didn't buy a portrait though) plenty to eat, loads to drink and still brought a £100 home. Best value hol ever

Better to be looking at it than for it - take the 800 lev, you can always bring it home.

Best place to go is Buzz Bar - from 6pm to 8pm and from 10pm to 11pm you get two large beers for the price of one - worked out 6 beers cost £2.60 Booze
