As much as it pains me to say it, the weather is looking increasingly warm for this week and onwards. Temperatures are forecast to reach 10 to 12 degrees celcius on wednesday and thursday, and no significant cooling is likely.
This is bitterly dissapointing for me as I go skiing to borovets on 19th, and it has to be said that these temperatures are way too high for snow to last long, no matter how warm it is.
those temperatures i mentioned are for borovets at the resort level, anywhere lower altitude will be warmer, and higher up the mountains it will be colder
Just returned from Boro on 12th March 2005 and the weather was ace; snowed every day. The weather was warming up and on Friday 11th March we were sunbathing and skiing. I wouldn't worry though, as it would require a massive melt down to get rid of the massive amounts of snow on the mountains. It may warm up during the day, but the night times are cold and you bound to have snow. Provided that the locals manage the pistes there will be skiing. Have a good time.
