St Johann Austria

Hi has anyone been to St Johann. Have been to pamps the last couple of years and fancy trying Austria. Getting quoted £800 half board including ski hire passes etc. Any thoughts on this resort good or bad.

- there are more / several st. Johann 's in Austria, can you be specific ( region / tirol ? )

st. Johann in Tirol; nice place ( good atmosphere) , not very high altitude, so snow at the lower season is quest. ? Not a great number of slopes. More suitable for beginners.

Yep in Tirol, noticed it was low altitude but it seems many of the Austrian resorts are low, it appears to have a fairly good snow record. I notice it has 17 lifts including 3 gondolas so I am assuming its a bigger area than what we are used to in Pamps We mostly ski blues & reds so wouldnt be to concerned about limitations for advanced skiing.

Hi Monty,

I'm sure you will have a great time. If you go in the "high" season, weather will be ok ( cold enough ). They have lot's of snowcanon's.
