Sterling and US Dollars

i have been told that you can use sterling and the US dollar in borovets. is this true. or when i get there would i have to exchange my money in to levs.

also is it best to change my money here in the UK or wait till im in borovets

Shakes this one keeps coming up do not take dollars it is a waste of time yes they are accepted but so is sterling so why bother? Best way is take sterling new notes is best, they get a bit funny with you if theyare ripped or have writing on them. Just change them up at the reception in you hotel. Do not be tempted at the airport or Change boothes that you will see as you will get a bad rate
