Still a begginner?

Hi there just after a bit of advice on what level ski school i should book. Spent a week in pamps last year and felt pretty confident in controlling speed and direction by the end of it so assumed would need intermediate this year. However i have read that in order to join this class you need to be able to do parellel turns which we didnt cover. Am i best doing beginner again?

thanks, Steph

Well, first of all Steph you don't need to book any level of skiing standard in Pamps, they will grade on your're first day and decide then on your ability. If you turn out to be better or worse than your grade then you will be put into a higher or lower group as per your ability.

re: Still a begginner?

def not a beginner, you will be intermediate but as Pete says you will be graded on how good an intermediate you are and around 1pm on your first day you will have all meet up and have to ski down a very small slope about 20 feet long to grade you, you will then be put into a suitable class with other intermediates the same level as you, even after the first day if you find the class either too easy or too hard you can ask to be moved into a different class.... its your holiday so make sure ...

re: Still a begginner?

A triage run to assess individual levels should be standard practice at any ski school... if they don't test you this way and just take your word as to how good you are then panic as they are not fit to instruct you!
