We have just returned from Bansko and had a fantatstic time! It was very busy being half term but there was loads of snow!! A note of warning though. My wife hired some skis as part of the package and had them stolen form the happy End pub by the Gondola. She had tied her hat on to them only to find the hat had been left on the ground and the ski's taken. I then had to pay 320 levs for another pair of skis BUT later in the week I had a visit from the rep saying by wifes original pair of skis had been brought back to the ski hire shop by an English guy. It appeared he had had his ski's stolen and had taken my wifes to replace them but did not realise that all the skis are bar coded and numbered. So I got my money refunded and he had to pay for his stolen skis. The reason I am writing this is to pass on a tip that was given to me ; If there is a group of you going in for a drink or meal and you obviously have to leave your skis outside I suggest you mix up other members skis with yours ie One of yours with one of theirs, preferably of 2 different sizes and makes. This just make it more difficult for any would be thief to nick one complete set. Cheers Phil
