Strazhite Hotel

Hi booked to go to strazhite next year and just wondered what the food was like? We stayed at the Hotel Orphey this year and most dishes were luke warm......is this the same here?

Otherwise holiday was great....can't wait to go back.

Dishes are luke warm in most Bulgarian hotels, is is how they like the food. They prefer food warm unlike us.

It's funny - most people moan about the luke warm food but I didn't notice it particularly - was in the Perun which I rate very highly - could also be to do with the fact that I have a 5yr old who takes FOREVER to eat - and messes around alot - so by the time I have sorted him out my food is always cold anyway and I have just become accustomed to it! Bulgaria suits me very well

The Hotel is very good, but the food is luke warm, but ok.

Don't worry about the Hotel food, you can eat out for peanuts, 'Sache' (sic) comes out so hot you can here it sizzling as it leaves the Kitchen

Don't know if anyone else tried it, but our rep. told us to ask for the food to be served "piping hot" and it worked for us. It appears if you don't they will leave the food standing for a while before they serve it to you. Graham

a girl i work with went to the strazhite and this year and loved it, so she's booked to go back next year and ive booked for to go aswell. did borovets this year and the foods the same there, bulgarians as a standard dont have it as warm as us, but if you ate out of the hotels it was fine.
